All MAPCL Programs and Services are accredited by CARF

There are many different kinds of treatments, therapies and educational approaches available to support individuals with developmental disabilities. Laurel Behaviour Support Services [LBSS] has expertise in the application of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), including the methodology of Verbal Behaviour and Self-Management to increase independence for children in school and home settings. These evidence-based treatment approaches are very successful in teaching new behaviours and skills to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, or other developmental disabilities.

Our programs are consistent with current best practices and overseen by Clinical Director William Kent, a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst

Our services include:

Early Intensive Behaviour Intervention (EIBI) for children aged 0-6 years;
Programs for school-aged children aged 6-18 years; and
Behaviour support to adults aged 19 and older.

Supporting families is a key part of our service.  We offer a wide variety of resources including:  education and training, coordination with other professionals and social/networking opportunities for all family members.

We create individualized support programs that are aimed at “teaching the whole person” across the developmental areas of:

    1. Communication
    2. Cognition or academic skills
    3. Play and social skills
    4. Self-Management
    5. Physical development of fine and gross motor skills
    6. Self-Care and adaptive living skills.
